SICILY, Akragas (Agrigentum), (c.500-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group IV, (8.23 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AK behind, RA in front, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, cf.SNG ANS 945 [similar dies], cf.Jenkins Group IIc). Toned with hoard adhesion and obverse pitting, of good silver, superb reverse, very fine/nearly extremely fine and a scarce type.
