MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 18, uncertain Macedonian mint, (7.640 grams), probably issued posthumously c.336-315 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse, above **FILOPPOU*, below horse **D*, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 912, SNG Greece II -, Drama Hoard 80 [ANSMN 11]). Good very fine, well centred, scarce as such.
