MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.28 grams), Kolophon mint, issued c.323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, spear head in right field, corn grain under throne, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price 1751, BMC 1751, M.314, SNG Cop. 947, SNG Greece II (Alpha Bank) 605). Nearly extremely fine with collector ticket.
