THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.58 grams), Kalchedon mint, issued 297/6-282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike to left, spear behind, VB monogram to left, grain ear to left in exergue, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, M.-, Mektepini 148 [same dies]). Lightly toned, Well centred, very high obverse relief, good very fine/nearly extremely fine and very rare.
