CRETE, Gortyna, (2nd-1st century B.C.), silver drachm (?) (2.87 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. Young bull to left, head to right, around **GOR [T]UNIW N*, (cf.S.3181 [gold], cf.Sv.113 [p.172, cf.Pl.XV, 22] but gold stater). Toned, delightful grey tone, nearly extremely fine and very rare, apparently unpublished.
