NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE orichalcum as (reduced module), issued A.D.64, Rome mint, (10.41 grams), obv. laureate head to left of Nero, around NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GERMANIC, rev. Nero as Apollo Citharoedus advancing right, playing a lyre, mark of value I in exergue, PONTIF MAX TR POT IMP P P, S C across, (S.1978, RIC 381 [rare], BMC 255 [Pl.45.2 same obverse die]). Weak on part of the obverse legend, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Ex. Harlan J. Berk, USA with their ticket. MacDowall 539 list only three examples BM 255 and two others from the same die pair. Not present in the Paris collection or listed in Cohen.
