NUMERIAN, (A.D. 283-284), billon antoninianus, Lugdunum mint (3.35 grams), obv. radiate bust of Numerian to right, around IMP C NVMERIANVS AVG, rev. around PAX AVGG, Pax standing to left holding olive branch and transverse sceptre, B (=2) in left field, (S.12249, RIC 394, C.43, Bastien 539 [47 examples]). Some original silvering, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
