PORTUGUESE INDIA, as used in Ceylon (Sri Lanka), circulated under Portuguese rule, silver xerafin 1654, Goa Para mint, (9.09 grams), obv. crowned arms, A - D, rev. cross, 1 6 5 4 in angles, (cf.KM.73, M.-, Gomes 27.02). Heavy surface scratches, some hoard patination, fair - fine and rare.
