BRITISH INDIA, William IV - George VI, silver rupees, 1835 (5), 1840 divided legend (5), continuous legend (5); 1862 (2), 1877, 1882, 1886, 1888, Edward VII, 1903 (2), 1905 (2), 1906 (3), 1907 (2), George V, 1913, George VI, 1944, 1945; half rupees, 1835 (2), 1840 DL (2), 1880, 1881, 1887, 1888, 1892, quarter rupees (13), two annas many 1841 (13), other India in base metal from 1794 (16). In a album, all described, fine - nearly uncirculated. (84)

Most it is believed were obtained in Ceylon, the early coinage to 1892 circulated in Ceylon at the rate of ten rupees to the pound and later the rupee was fixed at a dollar and in 1893 at 1s 4d.
