PAIR:: Egypt Medal 1882-89, one clasp - Suakin 1885; Khedive's Star 1884-6. 402 Pte. J.W.Burrows, N.S.W.Infy on first medal, second medal unnamed as issued. Engraved. The first medal very heavily pitted, the second medal good very fine.

Together with commemorative medals for departure of troops to the Soudan in March 1885, one in bronze gilded (23mm) no suspension ring, and the other in white metal (39mm) with ribbon (C.1885/3 and 8). Recorded on Nominal Roll of New South Wales Contingent, Infantry as 402 Private W.J.Burrows, D Company.
