200TH ANNIVERSARY, 1970, Captain James Cook in .750 fine gold (2.5 ounces, 32 and 44mm) by the Royal Australian Mint for Matthey Garrett (C.1970/36, 37). In case of issue with certificate no 1779, FDC. (2)

By co-incidence, the certificate number 1779 is the same as the year 1779 that Captain Cook was killed in Tahiti.
