MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.29 grams), 'Barbarous' issue, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, holding Eagle and sceptre, to right **[A]LEXANDRO[U]*, to left **BASILEWS*, (cf.S.6713, Price Pl CLI, B6, Muller, 108-21). Lightly toned, good/fine and scarce.
