M. VOLTEIUS M.F., (c.78 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.68 grams), obv. head of Jupiter laureate to right, rev. temple of Jupiter Capitolinus, M.VOLTEI. M.[F]. in exergue, (S.312, Cr.385/1, Syd.774, RSC. Volteia 1). Nearly very fine and very scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics sale 62, (lot 2414) and previously from Sotheby's London, July 15, 1980 (lot 104 part). Mommsen notes that Volteius depicts Jupiter and his temple as a reference to the ludi Romani.
