SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (2.82 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, rev. around FORTVN REDVC, Fortuna or Hilaritas standing to left, holding long palm and cornucopiae, (S.6278, RIC 383, RSC 175a). Very fine and scarce.
