MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, (3.11 grams), issued 235 A.D., Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Maximinus I, draped and cuirassed, around IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Pax standing to left, holding branch and sceptre, around PAX AVGVSTI, (S.8310, RIC 12, RSC 31). Small areas of green encrustation, otherwise extremely fine, with collector's ticket.
