ROMAN, North Africa, (c. 2nd century A.D.), terracotta oil lamp, with decorated medallion depicting Cupid wearing a cape and carrying a torch, (length 130mm), signed on base CIVNALEX. Complete and attractive, very fine and rare in this condition, lot includes a statutory declaration and an archaeological assessment.

Ex Mark and Susan Marshan collection. The potter C. Iunius Alexus is a known maker whose products have been found across North Africa.
