VAN DIEMEN'S LAND, Forest Gum 26 January 1838, one pound cheque payable to self at the Derwent Bank, signed John Ford, the Forest Gum written over crossed out Hobart Town. Left side torn out unevenly, perforations otherwise nearly very fine.
