SOLD $300

EDWARD VIII, Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, Sydney, a bronze medal, 54mm, (1936), obverse with portrait by Percy Metcalfe for Stokes of Melbourne of Edward VIII to right, reverse agricultural scene, unnamed, (cf.C.1936/8-9). In case of issue, uncirculated and extremely rare.

The Melbourne Royal Show version listed in Giordano (ref. 174) but the Sydney piece unlisted. The issue is from the same and similar punches as those listed in Carlisle above and probably a pattern for those issues.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
