QUEENSLAND JUBILEE, 1859-1909, presentation medal in silver (46mm) by Amor, inscribed on reverse 'E.H.Macartney M.L.A./1909/Brisbane North' (similar C.1909/8). Broken lug at bottom on reverse, very fine and rare.
Sir Edward Henry Macartney (1863-1956) solicitor and politician, born in Ireland, arrived Brisbane 1883. He held the seat of Toowong from 1900 and defeated Reid in 1904.
