The first a standard work on this coinage listing and describing every known piece at the time of publication. It is important for the detailed treatment by dies on the silver coinage of Maroneia, struck to 300 B.C. The excavations at Curium lists 753 coins found on the site from Greek to Medieval period, important for the late Ptolemaic Egyptian material. The last volume is on an important hoard of ancient Greek coins coming from Central Greece, buried c235 B.C.
