AMY JOHNSON, pioneer airwoman (1903-1941), signature on card, attached to laminated photo and biography of Amy Johnson, also included is another small photo of her. Extremely fine.

Amy Johnson, Britain’s most famous woman pilot, was the first woman to fly solo to Australia when she made the flight from Croydon in England to Darwin, a flight of 11,000 miles. She set other flying records during her career which ended on 5 January 1941 when she crashed into the Thames estuary and was drowned.
