JOSE DE SAN MARTIN, hand written document (30.5cm x 21.1cm), Lima, July 23 of 1821 at right side, and at left dated July 24 of 1821 is a response signed by San Martin, and a later response dated October 2 of 1821 by Pavong. A few stain marks and four small holes at top left, otherwise fine.

Jose de San Martin (1778-1850), Argentine general and prime leader of the southern part of South America’s struggle for independence from Spain. He is regarded as one of the Liberators of Spanish America and a national hero of Argentina.
