FAMOUS PEOPLE, signatures of Robert Peel, British Prime Minister, portions cut from letter include date, June 24, 1842 and conclusion with signature; Harold Macmillan, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, signature on card; John Gorton, Australian Prime Minister, signature on card; Charles Aznavour, famous French singer, signature on a cut out colour photo on heavy board; another unidentified signature (possibly from the field of entertainment); also a b&w print of Chester Cathedral (approx A4 size).The first with some foxing, fine, the other four extremely fine and the print with staining around the edges, good. (6)
The first with Certificate of Authenticity from Noble Enterprises, Texas dated 24 December 2003 and the Gorton signature with original purchase invoice from AACS Inc, USA. Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850), PM (1834-1835 and 1841-1846); Maurice Harold Macmillan, 1st Earl of Stockton (1894-1986), PM (1957-1963); John Grey Gorton (1911-2002), PM (1968-1971).
