Both medals impressed.; Daughter (Catherine Mary) Group of Seven: Associate of Royal Red Cross (ARRC) GVI (GRI); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; General Service Medal 1918-62 (GV coinage head), - two clasps - Iraq, Palestine; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Cape Badge. S.Nurse C.M.Quill on second to fourth medals, the first and fifth to seventh are unnamed as issued. The named medals are impressed. The first single medal with suspension bar, all the groups are swing mounted, very fine - extremely fine.
Together with 22ct gold (4.1gm) religious stick pin medallion with first medal; passport for Catherine Mary Quill issued 25Apr1935 by British Consul at Cairo, multiple visas throughout, noted one dated 05Jun1935 that states Miss C.M.Quill is a Sister (Q.A.I.M.N.S.) attached to the Citadel Cairo for military purposes, and another dated 21Oct1937 states she is a serving member of HM Forces in Egypt and Palestine; photos of Catherine in uniform (2), others in civilian wear for Daniel (senior), Daniel (son) reverse marked Waikune Prison, and Jeremiah (son) reverse marked RN, RUC, NZ Prison Service, Lower Hutt; matching swing mounted set of miniature medals for Catherine’s group, the Iraq clasp missing; an oval bracelet disc engraved ’K.M.Quill / Q.A.I.M.N.S.R. / (R.C.)’, note initial K instead of C for Catherine. ARRC Supplement to LG 1/7/1941 to Sister (Acting Matron) Catherine Mary Quill.
