Private Ernest Blocksage of Greymouth, NZ; 2nd Reinforcements, Canterbury Infy Regt; Emb.14Dec1914 from Wellington to Suez, Egypt; after his discharge it was reported that Gunner Blocksage died in NZ on 21Nov1918, aged 37 (Evening Post, Vol XCVI, Issue 128, 26 November 1918, p2).
