GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, one rupee, 1917, signature A.C.McWatters, Y/97 450410 (P.1; Jhun.1.2A), watermark variety A, booklet perforation left border. A number of vertical folds, good very fine.

Jhunjhunwalla states that notes with ’Y’ prefix were probably used in British East Africa.
