SICILY, Syracuse, reign of Hiketas II, (287-278 B.C.), AE 22mm (8.19 grams), struck c.287-283 B.C., obv. wreathed head of Kore right, rev. charioteer driving biga right, star above, **S* in exergue, (S.-. Calciati 122 [Agathokles]; cf.SNG ANS 763 [Fourth Democracy]). Dark brown patina, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
