AUGUSTUS, as Octavian, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Spanish or Northern Italian mint moving with Octavian in Illyricum, issued 35-34 B.C., (3.66 grams), obv. bare head of Octavian right, rev. IMP CAE SA[R] DIVI [F] around circular shield with studs, (S.1546, RIC 543a, CRI 392, RSC 126, BMC 119). Light surface pitting on obverse, previosly cleaned, nearly very fine and scarce.
