GERMANICUS, son of Nero Claudius Drusus, (born 15 B.C., died A.D. 19), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 40-41, struck under Caligula, (11.58 grams), obv. bare head of Germanicus to left, around GERMANICVS CAESAR TI AVGVST F DIVI AVG N, SC around, C CAESAR DIVI AVG PRON AVG P M TR P IIII P P (S.1822, RIC 50, BMC 74, C.4). Well centred, attractive dark patina, nearly very fine, scarce.
