GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), silver denarius, issued August - October 68, Rome mint, (2.66 grams), obv. bare head to right of Galba, around IMP SER GALBA AVG, rev. S P Q R / OB / C S, in three lines within oak wreath, (S.2109, BMC 34 cor., RIC 167, RSC 287). Slight flan crack at 12 o'clock, otherwise deeply toned with attractive blue highlights, very fine or better and rare.
