VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issue of A.D. 70-72, (3.49 grams), obv. [I]MP CAES VESP AVG PM, laureate head to right, rev. AVGVR TRI POT, simpulum, 'aspergillum', jug and lituus, (cf.S.2282, RIC 30, RSC 43, BMC 50). Toned with golden highlights, good very fine with a forceful portrait.

Ex CNG sale 99, lot 106 with ticket.
