FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, posthumous issue (died A.D.141), silver denarius, (3.04 grams), issued after 147, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAVSTINA, rev. Ceres standing left holding long torch and drapery, around AVGV STA, (S.4584, BMC 421, RIC 362, RSC 104). Grey tone, nearly extremely fine.
