LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 164, (24.66 grams), obv. laureate head of Lucius Verus to right, around [L] AVREL VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. around TR POT V IMP II COS [II], S C across field, Mars walking to right, carrying spear and trophy, (cf.S.5376, RIC 1420, C.182). Deep green patina, areas of smoothing, very fine.
