CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 198-199, Rome mint, (3.14 grams), obv. laureate bust draped and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTON AVG, rev. Caracalla in military dress standing left, holding Victory on globe and reversed spear, captive at feet, around PONTIFEX TR P II, (S.-, RIC 27, C. 406). Some surface pitting, otherwise bright, very fine - good very fine.
