CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 201, Laodicea mint, (3.13 grams), obv. laureate draped bust to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS, rev. Salus standing left holding sceptre entwined with snake, raising female figure who kneels before her, SAL GEN HUM around, (S.6883, RSC 558a, RIC 350). Minor flan crack, otherwise toned very fine - good very fine and very scarce.
