MAXIMINUS, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.61 grams), issued 236, obv. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right of Maximinus, rev. P M TR P II COS P P, Maximinus to left between two military standards holding a spear, (S.8312, RIC 3, RSC 55). Of good metal, heavy for issue, extremely fine with mint bloom.
