GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 242-3, (3.95 grams), obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. PM TR P III COS II P P, around, with Gordian standing to right holding transverse spear and globe, (S.8650, RIC 93, RSC 266). Some surface and edge roughness, otherwise very fine/good very fine, with collector's ticket.
