BASIL II & Constantine VII, period of (976-1025/8), copper follis (8.80 grams), Anonymous Class A2, Constantinople mint, obv. Nimbate facing bust of Christ, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels, cross and pellets in nimbus, traces of +EMMA NOVHA, rev. four-line legend, dotted circle and wings above and below legend, (S.1813, DOC III A2.24, R.1924-5, BMC 11-12). Attractive portrait of Christ, very fine or better and rare as such, comes with dealer's ticket.
