THORNTHWAITE, J.C., Sydney penny, 1854 (A.579). Weak in centre as usual, medium brown patina with hints of original red, almost as struck for this, nearly extremely fine and very rare in this condition, one of the finest known.

Ex Spink Australia Sale 6 (lot 634) and Sale 10 (lot 736) later private purchase from I.S.Wright, Sydney.
