THORNTHWAITE, J.C., Sydney trial halfpenny, 1854 (A.582; H.252/1) this halfpenny flan had formerly been struck in the centre with the threepeny dies (A.682 and cf Andrews 581). Very fine and a unique experimental piece of Thornthwaite.
