NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL & INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION OF QUEENSLAND, Juvenile Exhibition, 1883, award medal in bronze (73mm) by R.Capner, inscribed on reverse, 'L.A.Keenan/1st Prize/Writing/Juvenile Exhibition/1883.' Chocolate brown, extremely fine.

The National Agricultural & Industrial Association of Queensland (NA&IAQ) was founded in 1875 and the first Exhibition was held in 1876 with one of the categories being schoolwork with just six classes. The schoolwork category was not well supported over the following twenty five years except in 1883 when the NA&IAQ sponsored a highly successful Juvenile Exhibition. Thus the medal offered here appears to be an award for a one-time-only Juvenile Exhibition. With research.
