ITALY, Modena and Reggio Provisional Government, Year 5 of the French Republic (28 February 1797), printed notice translated to, 'In the name of and by order of Supreme General Bonaparte a notice that the forced requisition of horses, for the purposes of war, will never occur again in these States', professionally framed under cover for wall hanging. A few small holes and some light foxing as to be expected and some edge loss but overall fresh, very fine and scarce.
