Portraits fine, weak legends, very rare.

Ex BCD Collection [from duplicates] and purchased from Spink & Son, London, by (M.A.), November 1977 (Å“26). Lot includes Spink and other tickets and photographs. This example including this piece comes from one of only four known from this set of dies. Amandry records 48 examples from all dies of this type in his standard reference Michael Amandry 'Le Monnayage des Duovirs Corinthiens', Paris 1988, most of which are in public collections.
