N.K.Ruxton, P.O.Mech. R.N.A.S. 1917 on first medal, 203564 Flt.Sgt. Norman K.Ruxton R.A.F. on second medal, F.3564. N.K.Ruxton A.M.1. R.N.A.S. on third medal, F.3564 N.K.Ruxton. P.O.M. R.N.A.S. on fourth and fifth medals, last two medals unnamed as issued. All named medals impressed. Swing mounted, very fine - extremely fine.

Together with small letter from King George VI forwarding the BEM together with his congratulations and an expression of regret that he could not present it personally; also included is a copy of information supplied by the Ministry of Defence which shows the award of the BEM with the details recorded as F/Sgt Norman Kobig Ruxton, DSM, No 70 Wing, HQ (note misspelling Kobig not Kovig). DSM: P.O.Mech. Norman Kolvig Ruxton O.N., Supplement to LG 1/5/1918 p5282. BEM: Flt Sgt Norman Kobig Ruxton RAF, supplement to LG 1/1/1946 p69 (note misspelling Kobig not Kolvig) . Norman Kolvig Ruxton joined the RNAS in 1914 and trained as Gunner/Mechanic, serving in operations first as 1st Class Air Mechanic and later PO Mechanic. He was awarded the DSM for gallantry and distinguished service between 1 July and 31 December 1917. In 1925 he went on the Reserve List in 1925 as Flight Sergeant and after World War II started he was called up in October 1939. He served on the strength of various training establishments in the UK and for his service he was recognised with the award of a BEM in the 1946 New Year Honours List. With research.
