ANCIENT BRITISH, Celtic Coinage, Southern Britain, inscribed issue, Atrebates and Regni, Tincommius (c30-10 BC), gold quarter stater, third coinage of Classical style issued 20-10 BC, (1.16 grams), obverse, COMF in sunken tablet, reverse, Celticized horse on right, TIN above horse C below, leaflike design underneath, (S.82, Mack Sylloge 111, Van A. 390-1 notes as rare, CCI 84.0783 this coin). Attractive, very fine - good very fine and rare.
