ANCIENT BRITISH, Celtic Coinage, Southern Britain and Thames area, Atrebates, Verica, (cAD 10-40), silver unit, third coinage issued AD 25-35, (1.19 grams), obverse, two cornucopiae with sceptre between, [C]O[M] MI F below sceptre a vase, reverse, seated figure to right, holding spear, oval shield behind, CA behind, VERI before, (S.134, Van A.531-1). Attractively toned with golden highlights, extremely fine and scarce.
