EARLY ANGLO-SAXON PERIOD, (c600-775), Continental silver sceatta, c695-740, Frisian sceat, porcupine with III at cross, reverse, 'standard' with letters, die break or 'bird' on square, (S.790V; dies not in Metcalf) (1.15 grams). Toned, nearly extremely fine.
