Probus, (A.D. 276-282), billon antoninianii, Antioch Mint (3.86 g), obv. radiate bust of Probus to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, rev. around CLEMENTIA TEMP, S in centre field, XXI in exergue, Emperor standing to right, holding sceptre receiving globe from Jupiter standing left, (S.11961, RIC 920, C.91); another Ticinum mint, (3.91 g), obv. radiate bust to left in imperial mantle, holding sceptre with eagle, around IMP C PROBVS AVG, rev. around SALVS AVG, TXXI in exergue, Salus standing right feeding serpent held in her arms, (S.12031, RIC 499, C.576); another Serdica mint, (3.64 grams), obv. radiate helmeted bust left, around IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG, rev. Probus galloping right spearing enemy, around VIRTVS PROBI AVG, KAB in exergue, (S.12073, RIC 878). Mostly extremely fine and scarce. (3)
