GEORGE VI, first coinage, silver halfcrown, florin, shilling (Scottish), sixpence, threepence, nickel brass threepence, pennies (4), halfpennies (5), farthing, all dated 1939 (S.4080, 4081, 4083, 4084, 4085, 4112, 4114 [4], 4115 [5], 4116). The brass threepence with carbon spot at reverse top edge, the copper mostly with some or full mint red, overall mostly nearly uncirculated - uncirculated. (16)

These coins dated 1939 were in that same year saved by a family in England because it was the year that war was declared between Great Britain and Germany.
