EDWARD VIII, undated crown for Great Britain, 'Patina' retrospective pattern series, proof struck in .925 sterling silver, obverse, portrait of King left by Donald R Golder, reverse, MODEL across flan, struck with plain edge together with proof versions struck in gold copper piedfort (like Barton's metal) and piedfort copper with milled edge and another with plain edge. FDC, first is one of only 25 pieces made, others each one of only 9 pieces made. (4)

This and the following lots with the MODEL reverse are issues struck for experimental purposes.
